20. Are all men, then, saved by Christ as they have perished in Adam?

No, only those who by true faith are ingrafted into Him and receive all His benefits. 1)


1) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12,13. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. I Cor. 15:22.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. Ps. 2:12.

Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not high-minded, but fear. Rom. 11:20.

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Heb. 4:2,3.

But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. Heb. 10:39.
