59. What does it help you now, that you believe all this?

That I am righteous in Christ before God and an heir of eternal life. l)

1) Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith, Hab. 2:4.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: for it is written, The just shall live by faith. Rom. 1:17.

He that believeth in the Son hath everlasting life; and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36.

* That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:7.

* Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Rom. 5:1.

* The Spirit itself beareth witness with out spirit, that we are the children of God. Rom. 8:16.
